January February March 2021 Update

Posted by:

We made it through the holidays with a smile. I may have been a little premature.  I was not feeling very festive throughout the holidays. I was sure Covid would have run its course by then. Obviously, I was being wishful. Or is it wistful?

January brought the heat of a vaccine. We are ready for things to start heading in the right direction. After the initial frustration and anger. I have now turned the corner. I was angry because we ...

This is an update for August through Mid-September 2020

Posted by:

This has been one whale of a couple of months. The Coronavirus has been pretty rough on me mentally. I had become comfortable with not being able to drive or travel the way I was used to. That was offset, by having built our retirement home. My wife and I had big plans for entertaining friends and family.

Enter Covid-19. It has put an enormous strain on our entertainment plans. There are numerous friends within an hour of us. Most are ...

February Update

Hello All,

Since my December Update things are going smoothly. My physical condition is holding without degeneration. That is a good thing. I am also not improving. I would like to continue saying I am happy with my new normal. Unfortunately, I believe I am left wanting. It happens occasionally. It is not a full-blown bout of depression, as I know it. I realize I have been down in the dumps, for a bit longer than usual. So I would definitely ...

Update for December 2019

Posted by:

I skipped a few moths of updates. I have very little to add as far as improvements. I also have nothing to say as far as degeneration, as there has been none, still. Some may think of frustration and Apathy. I think of Blessings and Happiness. I am posting a few links in lieu of my personal take in their stead.

We continue to entertain. Cooking for friends and relatives is still one of my favorite pastimes. It is also one ...

Update For September 2019

Posted by:

This is an update of my current status. I am quite happy still with my outlook since my HSCT in Dec-2015. My wife Patt and I have been doing pretty well. We have been welcoming a number of visitors over the past few months. Especially leading up to and including Labor Day. It was more and longer than initially expected. This, giving me an extra few days to cook. I love it but would be remiss if I didn’t complain ...

June 2019 Update

Posted by:

I haven’t posted since April. I know I was religious about my posts monthly for some time. I am afraid life has gotten in the way again! This is something you don’t realize at first. Something you don’t realize for some time. MS had taken that away from me.
A mental thing and very subtle. I started dwelling on whether Patt would be okay. Had I done everything to make sure she was not left weighed down by stuff and ...

My New Normal – April 2019

Posted by:

It has been a while since my last post. I have been busy and though I have had the chance, I had other things to do. I don’t know that I would have been saying the same had I not had the HSCT Procedure. My MS has been stable, as in unchanging. I have another MRI scheduled in a month or so. Though, in my case, there has been no change in my MRI results ...

December 2018

This will be my last Christmas poem after twenty some years. I’m moving on to write a book. I have not had any new MS symptoms since my HSCT Procedure for Autoimmune Diseases. This is neither offered, or even discussed by Neurologists in the US as it may still be a few years away, as in 2022. If you need more, you can click the HSCT tab, or read my early Blog entries.

October 2018

I hope I can recall everything I wrote which disappeared because I didn’t close it right.

I have now been living in the outskirts of Tampa, Florida for the last year plus. We should be moving by mid November into our newly constructed home. It is still on the west coast obviously but in a community of only forty homes, or so. We are using the same contractor who had built our last home, when I ...

July 2018 Update

July is here and the 4th has passed. My wife and son’s family went out yesterday to spend the afternoon and be in place for the Fireworks. Unfortunately they were rained out after the water park. They were at Busch Gardens.
